If you are prompted to replace or merge files, click the yes button.
Paste the copied folder into the “Data” folder in Fallout 4.
Find the location of your Fallout 4 installation, which is usually: C:\Program Files (x86)\ Steam\steamapps\common.
In most cases, you would want to copy the whole folder.
Copy the relevant files into a new folder.
To prevent files from becoming lost or jumbled, use the “Extract to…” option.
To extract the downloaded items into a new folder, use software like WinRAR.
Go to the folder where you stored the downloaded mods.
Save the file to your desktop or a folder dedicated to Fallout 4 mods.
Select “download manually” from the drop-down menu.
You may also add mods to your library by going to the site and selecting “Add to Library.”
Choose a mod and go to the “Files” tab.
To begin, you should first research and seek mods for Fallout 4 that you wish to try.
To the end of the file, add the following lines:.
Using a text editor, open the Fallout4Custom.ini file.
Open and configure Fallout4Custom.ini file
To save the file, go to File -> Save, and then exit the text editor.
Below the section, add the following line: bEnableFileSelection=1.
To find the section in the text editor, type into that search box.
To open a search box, press the Ctrl+F keys on your keyboard at the same time.
Alternatively, you may use Notepad++ to open and modify the file. The file will be opened using the default text editor Windows Notepad if you don’t install a third-party text editor.
Using a text editor, open the Fallout4Prefs.ini file.
C:\Users\YOURNAME\Documents\My Games\Fallout4 is the default directory folder. When you installed the game, the location of the folder was decided.
Go to the Fallout 4 directory folder and open it.
Open the Fallout4Custom.ini file and make the necessary changes.
